In partnership with Harbourside Swing Fest, we’re opening a special class for complete newcomers who want to experience the joy of swing dancing for the first time.
This introductory session will teach you the fundamentals of social dancing in a fun, welcoming environment. You’ll learn essential steps and partnering basics that will have you feeling confident and ready to hit the dance floor. By the end of class, you’ll be prepared to dance the night away at our Harbourside Swing Fest Saturday Night Social, featuring live music that brings the authentic swing era to life.
Whether you’ve never danced before or you’re curious about this vibrant dance style, this class is your perfect entry point into the swing community. No experience necessary, no partner required—just bring your enthusiasm and comfortable shoes.

What’s Included
Your ticket unlocks a full day of dancing. You will start with a 2-hour workshop designed to get you comfortable on the floor. Later that evening, your pass grants you entry to the HSF Saturday Night Party, featuring live music, performances, competitions, and a vibrant social atmosphere to practice your new moves.
Understanding Roles
Swing dance is a partnership. When you register, you will need to choose between being a Lead (who guides the movement) or a Follow (who interprets the signals). Gender does not determine your role, so please choose whichever feels right for you. If registering with a partner (double ticket), please put the dance role of primary applicant.
Pricing and Registration
A single pass is $780. We offer a Partner Discount of 15% (totaling $1,320) if you sign up as a pair. Please note that if you register for two passes, you are expected to dance in different roles—one Lead and one Follow—to help us maintain a balanced class.
Ticket Policy
All tickets are non-refundable but fully transferable. If you can no longer attend, simply contact us to request a name change on your pass.
